  We passed through Chazy and decided to stop at a local restaurant instead of a big chain. It was lunchtime May 22nd. We found the place with only one elderly couple having lunch. Liked the decor and the style. That is where the pleasant experience ended. The sound system was blaring a combination of good music and then endless ads. The waitress obviously waiting for something to happen while fighting the boredom with her phone only to be distracted from it by a customer. She was not friendly and provided the minimum required to take the order and delivered the food so that she could get back to her phone. I can't remember if she said anything at all. Definitely not a "hello" or a "bye". The food was oily. The first time I had a toasted cheese sandwich which was pan fried in oil. Maybe a local delicacy.
  Next time in Chazy, we will give the Cattle Barn a miss.
